We’re excited to announce that Kyiv (Ukraine) ranks 6th globally among Top 10 Locations by return on budget investments.
Each year, fDi Intelligence, a research subsidiary of the Financial Times, publishes its Return on Investment ranking that determines how efficiently different world’s locations are using their resources to attract investment.

For the ranking, the following methodology was used: the budget and staff information provided on the Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) Strategy submission was recorded, alongside FDI data for the corresponding year where applicable. This data was collected from fDi Markets, the online FDI tracking tool from fDi Intelligence. Analysis was carried out on this data to define the efficacy of these resources employed by investment promotion authorities and those responsible for attracting FDI. These results were then scored, with 10 being the highest score available.
On March 13, 2019, Kyiv city councilor Vitali Klitschko received an fDi Award during the MIPIM trade show in Cannes, France.
“Kyiv is dynamically developing today, setting an example of transformation throughout the country,” Klitschko said in Cannes. “Kyiv is very attractive and promising for global investors. Over the past few years, 60% of all investments in Ukraine have come to the capital city, and attracting more foreign investments today is one of our key priorities.“
